The Automotive Industry Institute PIMOT® was found by Polish Council of Ministers in 1972, as the automotive industry Research and Development unit.
PIMOT`s lines of activity cover scientific, R&D works and automotive products testing services. Institute is a separate and independent unit. It makes an unquestionable basic for impartiality of its opinion and test result obtained.

THE CENTRE OF A TRANSPORT SAFETY AND VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC |
The centre of a transport safety and vehicle diagnostic development is a main object of the cooperation agreement which was concluded by initiative of Automotive Industry Institute PIMOT.
The proposed development will allowed to: the concentration of Polish research and development work of transport safety, increased technological innovation of automotive products for the safety of transport, provide of a wide range of innovative training services, operate in a field of education and prevention of road safety. This investment is according to European Directives (Directive No. 22010/48/EU and Directive No. 2007/46/WE) proclamation into Polish law regulations, regarding vehicle testing and type approvals.
The centre of a transport safety and vehicle diagnostic development is consistent of European Union scopes which are included by Road Safety Program for the years 2011 – 2020. This program stipulate many national and international initiatives which are focused on improving a vehicle construction safety and a road infrastructure to reduce the number of road traffic victims.
