The Automotive Industry Institute PIMOT® was found by Polish Council of Ministers in 1972, as the automotive industry Research and Development unit.

PIMOT`s lines of activity cover scientific, R&D works and automotive products testing services. Institute is a separate and independent unit. It makes an unquestionable basic for impartiality of its opinion and test result obtained.

PIMOT as a unit authorized to certify automotive products offers the following services:  
1. Voluntary certification for the "B" Safety Mark.........................Znak B PIMOT
The basic elements of the certification procedure are as follows:
  • Full-scope product testing;
  • Assessment of supplier's quality assurance system;
  • Supervision exercised during the validity period of the certificate issued, which includes periodical inspections of supplier's quality insurance system and full-scope product testing.
2. Certification of conformity of cash carrying vehicles and armoured bank vehicles with relevant requirements................................Bankowóz
