History
The Automotive Industry Institute (PIMOT) was founded by virtue of Resolution No. 218 of the Council of Ministers dated 11 August 1972, as a central research and development unit of the Polish automotive industry.
Since April 1, 2019 the Institute has been a part of the Łukasiewicz Research Network and changed its name to Łukasiewicz Research Network – Automotive Industry Institute.

- Centralny Ośrodek Konstrukcyjno-Badawczy Przemysłu Motoryzacyjnego POLMO (POLMO Automotive Industry Head Research and Development Centre) and
- Ośrodek Konstrukcyjno-Badawczy Przemysłu Motoryzacyjnego POLMO (POLMO Automotive Industry Research and Development Centre).
